International Business Intelligence Implementation Consultant

Our client is seeking a BI Consultant/Associate Product manager to join the successful and expanding product marketing division, specifically to work with the company's business intelligence product and to help accelerate this into the UK market.
Working for an industry leader, this is a great opportunity which will see you building and developing the tool as well as working with new and existing customers to look at scoping and defining needs and working on customisation.
You’ll need to be good at working with customers and being able to gather intelligent information as well as train new customers; you’ll also need to be strongly technical, with good experience in a wide range of specific areas but mostly around reporting and SQL. Above all, you’ll need to be passionate about developing and taking first class products to market.
Working within this expanding area, you will have the chance to develop a team or work internationally within a stable and growing market.
Purpose of role:
You will be responsible for implementing our client’s Business Intelligence solution, and defining, specifying and developing custom projects for customers as an extension to the core BI solution. The objective of this position is to help to build the Business Intelligence solution base, primarily in the UK market, and support the sales process with excellent industry and technology pre-sales knowledge of BI.
The focus of the role will be to contribute to the design, development and testing of enterprise solutions including all aspects of Microsoft’s Business Intelligence stack of products including SharePoint 2010, SQL Server 2008 R2 and Powerpivot. It’s critical to have proven Microsoft Business Intelligence experience, including tools used to tailor the solution for customers – SharePoint 2010 Performance Point, SQL Server 2008 R2 Reporting Services and Powerpivot.
Specialist / Technical Knowledge or Experience:
- SharePoint 2010 implementation and deployment experience including creation of custom web parts
- Experience building business intelligence solutions using Performance Point, reporting services and Powerpivot
- Experience using excel services and Visio services building when building strategy maps and ad hoc dashboards for users
- Excellent consulting skills and the ability to work effectively with clients and team members
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills with all levels of associates
- Be driven by process to ensure each launch is completed thoroughly and accurately
